My husband and I are very different kinds of fighters. Together for over 30 years, we’ve mostly ironed out how to navigate those differences, but they still trip us up sometimes.
I am quick to burn, zero to sixty in 30 seconds. I don’t always show the quick burn outwardly, but I feel it thoroughly. Sometimes, it does show outwardly. Fortunately for me and those around me, I am equally quick to cool back down, calm and thinking clearly again in no time. When my husband first met me, he marveled at how my family could be having a loud political argument and ten minutes later be laughing and kidding around again.
